On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Voice of Truth Ministry celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening of its new Hall of Prayer and Worship in Baruni, Central Province. The joyous occasion was led by the ministry’s founders, Jeremiah Rau, who oversees the ministry, and his wife, Roselyn Rau. They were joined by a vibrant congregation and supporters from across Papua New Guinea and the world.

The journey of the Voice of Truth Ministry began in November 2015 with a humble youth gathering under the roof of ATS in Port Moresby, the nation’s capital. At the time, there were no plans for expansion beyond the local neighborhood. However, by God’s grace and guidance, the ministry has reached this remarkable milestone, marking ten years of active involvement in spiritual outreach and growth.

As part of the celebration, Pastor Maraga was appointed senior pastor for the Baruni area. His transformation from a former top car hijacker in Port Moresby to a devoted minister is a powerful testimony to the ministry’s outreach’s life-changing impact. Now, as a shepherd of faith, Pastor Maraga is dedicated to guiding others toward spiritual growth and redemption. In addition to Pastor Maraga’s appointment, six new elders were commissioned to assist in managing the ministry’s growing operations in Baruni. Their dedication will help meet the needs of the expanding community.

The construction of the new Hall of Prayer and Worship was a testament to the collective effort of church members and partners. Many contributed their time, skills, and resources to bring the vision to life, demonstrating the strength of unity and shared purpose within the ministry.

Since its establishment in 2015, the Voice of Truth Ministry has flourished under the visionary leadership of Jeremiah and Roselyn Rau. What began as a youth-led initiative, guided by their son, Obadiah Rau, has now grown into a thriving church family with hundreds of active members. The ministry has successfully expanded its reach to Lae, Kimbe, Oro, Bereina, Simbu, ATS in Port Moresby, and now Baruni.

The ministry’s foundation lies in teaching the Word of God and nurturing spiritual growth. Beyond Sunday services, Jeremiah and his team provide counseling and guidance, helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with wisdom and the healing power of God’s grace. The congregation is committed to fostering personal development, building a strong sense of community, and celebrating God’s transformative work in their lives.

The ministry’s outreach efforts extend to marginalized groups such as prisoners, drug addicts, and others seeking hope and purpose. They regularly conduct services at Bomana Prison and have plans to establish a new rehabilitation center to further their mission of restoration and support.

Families, friends, and partners from across Papua New Guinea and around the globe attended the grand opening ceremony. International supporters from Australia, New Zealand, China, and other nations joined the celebration via live streaming, showcasing the ministry’s global impact.

With its new center in Baruni, the Voice of Truth Ministry continues to embody its mission of faith, transformation, and community service. The ministry remains a beacon of hope, redemption, and unity, inspiring countless lives through God’s work.
